Rabbits are now the third most popular pet in the UK and we have a real soft spot for them here at Scott Vets. We have been awarded The Gold Standard accreditation by the Rabbit Welfare Fund & Association (RWAF).
The Gold Standard is the highest possible endorsement awarded by the RWAF and signifies the best standards in rabbit care and well being in veterinary practice.
All our nurses are trained about rabbit anatomy, how to care for them, their husbandry, possible complications under anaesthesia and in surgery and any illnesses they can get. One of the main problems that rabbits get is gut stasis, this is when their gastrointestinal tract stops functioning properly. Our nurses are all on poo patrol and get very excited when faeces start appearing again! The photo shows Chloe stealing bunny cuddles!
The care you have shown Dolly has been amazing. Specially our vet Dominic. Dolly never feels stressed when she comes for her visits.
We are delighted to announce that Scott Veterinary Clinic has been awarded The Gold Standard accreditation by the Rabbit Welfare Fund & Association (RWAF)
