Head of Exotics and Zoo Medicine, Nathalie Wissink-Argilaga graduated from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona [Spain] in 2004.
After seeing practice in several Exotic practices and Zoos around the world, she completed a 1 year Small Animal internship at Davies Veterinary Specialists.
Nathalie started work at The Scott Veterinary Clinic in May 2006. In 2008 she passed her GP certificate in Exotic Animal Practice. Her special interest is in exotic pets, particularly small/exotic mammals and reptiles.
Nathalie holds the RCVS certificate in Zoological Medicine with credits in the Avian, Reptile, Small Mammal and Zoo chapters and a distinction in the Wildlife chapter. She is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine. In 2016 she obtained her RCVS Diploma in Zoological Medicine with specialisation in Reptiles and is now one of only 24 vets to have achieved this qualification.
Nathalie is also the Head of the Veterinary team at Woburn Safari Park as well as several other zoo collections and animal welfare colleges. She is also involved in exotic pet shop inspections and Dangerous Wild Animal license inspections and lectures in national and international veterinary conferences and meetings.

Veterinary Surgeon Pas Medina graduated from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona [UAB] in 2004. He then completed an 18 month internship at the UAB Veterinary teaching hospital. After 2 and a half years working in a referral centre he took a position as Head of Exotics at the Hospital de Santa Sussanna.
In March 2008 Pas started working as a Marine Animal Vet at with the CRAM Foundation and in 2011 became Head of Rescue and Veterinary Medicine. Pas Joined Scott’s in January 2012. He is especially interested in Exotic and wildlife medicine and surgery.
There are specialist facilities for accommodating Exotic pets;
> Separate Small Mammal ward with controlled lighting, temperature and ventilation.
> Separate Exotics ward with controlled lighting, temperature and ventilation.
> Vivaria with infra-red heating.
> Individual thermostatically controlled isolation avian units with facilities for oxygen delivery, temperature control and nebulisation.
> In-house laboratory including Biochemical and Haematological blood analysis
